NAHANT

Complaints 

Reports of phone complaints at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday on Castle Road. The caller reported that contractors working in the area left a bucket of asphalt blocking the sidewalk. An officer was sent to the location and removed the bucket; a report at 8:54 p.m. on Sea View Avenue and Bass Point Road. The caller reported that she heard a loud alarm sounding off in the area. When officers were dispatched they identified the alarm coming from a vehicle that had an electrical issue due to the recent rainstorm.

Reports of motor vehicle stops at 12:49 a.m. Tuesday at the DCR Bathhouse on the Causeway for improper license plate display; a report at 1:33 a.m. at the Nahant Police Department on Nahant Road for a speeding violation; a report at 6:53 a.m. on Emerald Road for failing to stop or yield at an intersection; a report at 11:48 p.m. on the Nahant Rotary for the driver not having visible license plates due to being in an active transfer of registration for the vehicle.

Suspicious Activity 

A report of suspicious activity at 10:41 p.m. Tuesday at the DCR Maintenance Building on the Causeway. Three teenagers in a minivan were parked across the lines in the building’s lot, and when spoken to by an officer the teenager stated they were coming back from basketball. 

Water Incident 

A report of a water incident at 1:36 p.m. Tuesday at the Doggie Beach on Nahant Road and Little Nahant Road. The caller walked into the station and reported that she believed a kite surfer was having a hard time getting back on his board. An officer was dispatched and confirmed that the surfer was fine and walking to the shoreline.
