Reports of animal control at 10:20 a.m. Sunday on Ocean Street and Emerald Road. The caller reported they captured a loose dog and there was no response from the number on the dog’s tags. The dispatched officer responded to the call and brought the dog to the police station and then located the owner; a report at 8:13 p.m. at Short Beach on Nahant Road. The caller reported that a couple had two pitbulls off leash at the beach that chased the caller into the water. The caller then stated when they confronted the owners, they were verbally berated. Officers responded and did not find the animals to the description at the location.

Adam U. Mogan, 32, of West Street (Wakefield), was arrested at 11:08 p.m. Sunday for charges of a Peabody Police Department warrant, a subsequent offense of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, possession of an open container of alcohol in the motor vehicle, two charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence with a suspended license, and a third offense of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor.
