Senior Shopping Hours

Some of the local supermarkets are opening up at earlier hours so older citizens may come and shop. This is to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus. People ages 60 and older, and those with pre-existing health conditions, are at higher risk of serious complications should they contract the virus, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

LYNN

Market Basket, 40 Federal St., is holding shopping hours for people ages 60 and up every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30-7 a.m.

Stop & Shop, 35 Washington St., is holding shopping hours for people ages 60 and up from 6-7:30 a.m.

LYNNFIELD

Whole Foods Market at MarketStreet, 427 Walnut St., is holding senior shopping hours for people 60 and over every day from 8-9 a.m.

MARBLEHEAD

Crosby’s Marketplace, 118 Washington St., is not holding seniors-only shopping hours. However, seniors may call to place a shopping order, which will be brought out to their car upon arrival.

PEABODY

Big Y World Class Market at Hannaford Plaza, 637 Lowell St., is holding shopping hours for seniors 60 and over and people with compromised immune systems from 7-8 a.m. every day.

Stop & Shop, 19 Howley St., is holding shopping hours for seniors 60 and over from 6-7:30 a.m. every day.

Shaw’s, 114-128 Essex Center Drive, is holding shopping hours for seniors 60 and over on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-9 a.m.

REVERE

Market Basket, 275 Squire Road, is holding shopping hours for people ages 60 and up every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30-7 a.m.

Stop & Shop (40 Furlong Drive, 1690 Revere Beach Parkway, 540 Squire Road) is holding shopping hours for people ages 60 and older from 6-7:30 a.m.

SAUGUS

Big Y World Class Market, 357 Broadway, is holding shopping hours for people 60 and up from 7-8 a.m.

Stop and Shop, 164 Main Street, is holding shopping hours for people 60 and up from 6-7:30 a.m.

SWAMPSCOTT

Stop & Shop, 450 Paradise Road, is holding shopping hours for people ages 60 and up from 6-7:30 a.m.

Whole Foods Market, 331 Paradise Road, is holding shopping hours for people ages 60 and up from 8-9 a.m.
