VIRUS CASES SOAR IN LYNN, LYNNFIELD, PEABODY AND REVERE

Coronavirus cases surged Monday in Lynn, Lynnfield, Peabody and Revere.
And five additional deaths were reported in both Lynn and Peabody to bring their respective death tolls to 134 and 209.
In Lynn, 32 new cases were reported, bringing the city’s caseload to 7,637. Of that total, 1,307 cases are active and 6,196 people have recovered, according to city data.
Peabody has reported 164 additional cases since last Wednesday to bring the city’s caseload to 2,284. A total of 1,285 people have recovered, according to the health department.
Fifty-four new cases were reported Friday in Revere. The city now has 4,428 cases and 112 deaths, according to the city website.
Lynnfield has reported 21 new cases since last Wednesday to bring the town’s total numbers to 294 cases and 15 deaths, according to the town website.
Three new cases were reported in Nahant, which now has 96 cases and six deaths, according to the town website.
Numbers have not been updated in Marblehead (390 cases, 30 deaths), Saugus (1,195 cases, 45 deaths) or Swampscott (262 cases, 11 deaths) since last Friday.
