NEW VIRUS CASES REPORTED IN LYNN, LYNNFIELD, PEABODY, REVERE AND SALEM

New coronavirus cases were reported Wednesday in Lynn, Lynnfield, Peabody, Revere and Salem.

In Lynn, 39 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 15,470. Of that total, 268 cases are active, 193 people have died, and 15,009 have recovered from the virus, according to city data.

Revere reported 31 new cases to bring the city’s total numbers to 9,496 cases and 149 deaths, according to the city website.

Twenty-seven new cases have been reported in Peabody since Monday. The city now has 6,148 cases, 291 people have died, and 5,398 have recovered, the health department reported.

In Salem, 12 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 4,045. Seventy-two people have died, the city website said.

An additional case was reported in Lynnfield, which now has 1,002 cases and 29 deaths, according to the town website.

Numbers remained the same in Nahant (222 cases, six deaths) and were not updated in Marblehead, Saugus or Swampscott.

As of Tuesday, Saugus had 3,490 cases and 64 deaths. Marblehead (1,146 cases, 31 deaths) and Swampscott (930 cases, 19 deaths) last updated their numbers on Monday.
