VIRUS CASES INCREASE IN LYNN, LYNNFIELD, REVERE, SALEM AND SWAMPSCOTT

Lynn, Lynnfield, Revere, Salem and Swampscott reported new coronavirus cases on Thursday.
Numbers remained unchanged in several other North Shore communities.
In Lynn, 19 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 15,489. Of that total, 270 cases are active, 193 people have died, and 15,026 have recovered from the virus, according to city data.
Revere also reported 19 new cases to bring its total numbers to 9,515 cases and 149 deaths, the city website reported.
In Salem, 13 new cases were reported to bring its total number of cases to 4,058. Seventy-two people have died, the city reported.
Twelve new cases have been reported in Swampscott since Monday. The town has 942 cases and 19 people have died, according to the town website.
Lynnfield reported four new cases to bring its caseload to 1,006. The town’s death toll is 29, the town website said.
Numbers remained the same in Nahant (222 cases, six deaths) and were not updated in Marblehead, Peabody, or Saugus on Thursday.
Peabody had 6,148 cases and 291 deaths as of Wednesday, Saugus had 3,490 cases and 64 deaths as of Tuesday, and Marblehead had reported 1,146 cases and 31 deaths as of Monday.
