NEW VIRUS CASES REPORTED IN LYNN, LYNNFIELD, REVERE, AND SWAMPSCOTT

New coronavirus cases were reported Tuesday in Lynn, Lynnfield, Revere and Swampscott.
In Lynn, 27 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 17,164. Of that total, 300 cases are active, 212 people have died, and 16,652 have recovered from the virus, according to city data.
Thirty-one new cases were reported in Revere to bring the city’s total numbers to 10,619 cases and 161 deaths, the city website said.
In Swampscott, 29 new cases have been reported since April 8. The town now has 1,126 cases and 19 people have died, according to its website.
Lynnfield (1,179 cases, 29 deaths) reported seven new cases, Nahant (246 cases, eight deaths) reported no change, and numbers were not updated in Marblehead, Peabody, Salem or Saugus.
As of last Friday, Marblehead had 1,295 cases and 31 deaths, Peabody had 6,985 cases and 314 deaths, and Salem had 4,547 cases and 80 deaths. Numbers have not been updated in Saugus (4,016 cases, 71 deaths) since April 13.
