PEABODY REPORTS NEW VIRUS CASES, DEATH

An additional death was also reported in Peabody to bring the city’s death toll to 319.
Twenty-two new cases were reported in Peabody, which now has 7,214 cases. Of that total, 6,650 people have recovered from the virus, according to the health department.
In Lynn, five new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 17,526. Of that total, 147 cases are active, 216 people have died, and 17,163 have recovered, city data shows.
Ten new cases have been reported in Swampscott since last Monday. The town now has 1,161 cases and 19 people have died, the town website said.
In Salem, 21 new cases have been reported since last Friday to bring the city’s total numbers to 4,717 cases and 81 deaths, according to the city website.
Lynnfield (1,204 cases, 29 deaths) reported four new cases, no change was reported in Nahant (252 cases, nine deaths), and numbers were not updated in Marblehead or Saugus.
Marblehead had 1,328 cases and 31 deaths as of last Friday, and new numbers have not been provided in Saugus (4,129 cases, 71 deaths) since April 29.
