LYNN

Arrest

Juan Rivas Alvarado, 30, of Eutaw Avenue, was arrested at 4:32 p.m. Thursday for a crosswalk violation and operating a vehicle with a suspended license. 

Alarms 

Reports of alarms at 1:36 a.m. Thursday on the Lynnway, 3:20 a.m. on Market Street, 3:31 a.m. on Market Street, 5:57 a.m. at the Facteau Leary Middle School on North Common Street, 1:50 p.m. on Oakwood Avenue, 1:51 p.m. on the Lynnway, 2:44 p.m. on Western Avenue, 2:43 p.m. on Arlington Street, 4:39 p.m. on Verona Street, and 6:55 p.m. on Newhall Street. 

Disturbances

Reports of disturbances at 3:35 p.m. Thursday on Federal Street, 4:34 p.m. at the Walmart on the Lynnway, 4:44 p.m. on Federal Street, 4:54 p.m. on Union Street, 6:42 p.m. on Holyoke Street, 8:05 p.m. on Washington Street, 8:14 p.m at the Walmart on the Lynnway, and 9:15 p.m. on Washington Street. 

Hazardous Conditions

A report of hazardous conditions at 1:40 p.m. Thursday on the Lynnway. 

Larceny

Reports of larceny at 3:18 p.m. Thursday on Wilson Street and 3:19 p.m. on Wilson Street. 

Motor Vehicle 

Reports of motor vehicle accidents at 7:14 a.m. Thursday on Neptune and South Elm Street, 8:11 a.m. on Shepard and Summer Street, 8:34 p.m. on Central Avenue, 9:11 a.m. on Broadway, 9:11 a.m. on Broadway, 9:13 a.m. on Broadway and Springvale Avenue, 9:39 a.m. on Hanover Street, 9:54 a.m. on Hanover Street, 2:46 p.m. on Cleveland and Maple Street, 3:09 p.m. on the Lynnway, and 4:01 p.m. on Laighton Street. 

Noise

Reports of noise at 1:16 a.m. Thursday on Highland Avenue, 6:52 a.m. at the Walmart on the Lynnway, 10:02 p.m. on NewCastle Street, 11:00 p.m. on Essex Street, 11:19 p.m. on Summer Street, and 11:52 p.m. on Essex Street. 

Suspicious Activity

Reports of suspicious activity at 1:59 a.m. Thursday on Washington Street, 7:05 p.m. on Central Avenue, and 9:11 p.m. on Essex Street. 

Trespassing 

Reports of trespassing at 7:34 a.m. Thursday on Washington Street, 9:59 a.m. on Brightwood Terrance, 2:02 p.m. on Western Avenue, 4:27 p.m. on Munroe Street, and 4:47 p.m. on Shepard Street. 

NAHANT

Motor Vehicles

Reports of motor vehicle stops at 12:40 a.m. Thursday at the DCR Bath House on the Causeway, 12:45 a.m. on Nahant Road and Wilson Road, 9:04 a.m. at the Johnson Elementary School on Castle Road, 9:52 a.m. on Forty Steps Lane, 11:22 a.m. on Nahant Road and Summer Street, 5:37 p.m. on Nahant Road and Castle Road, 6:57 p.m. on Nahant Road and Castle Road, 7:28 p.m. on Nahant Road. 

Phone Calls

Reports of phone calls at 8:02 a.m. Thursday coming from Nahant Town Hall where a resident stated that the involved party was being abrasive and rude, making false statements that she received from SGT Leary, 10:21 a.m. coming from Gardner Road, where a resident filed a complaint in regards the construction work being done at the attached vicinity, 10:54 a.m. coming from Breezy Hill Terrace where the resident called in irritated, swearing, impertinent, ill mannered, uncivil, and disrespectful, 5:10 p.m. coming from Nahant Road and Castle Road where the resident reported a gray honda operating erratically, 7:41 p.m. coming from Maolis Road where a resident reported that there was a suspicious male walking near her house, and 8:25 p.m. coming from Knights of Columbus where a resident complained of the music being too loud.  

Walk-Ins

Reports of walk-ins at 11:21 p.m. where a resident turned in a BB gun and BB gun ammo at the station, and 3:57 p.m. where a resident reported that her identity had been stolen and her phone was being tracked.  

SAUGUS

Arrest

Raymond D. Golden, a 17-and-over male of University Avenue in Lowell, was arrested at 5:15 p.m. Thursday for eight default warrants in New Bedford, Leominster, and East Brookfield. 

Alarm

A report of a burglar alarm at 7:20 a.m. Thursday at Buffalo Wild Wings on Main Street. Building appears to be secure. 

Assault & Battery

A walk-in report of assault and battery at 4:35 a.m. Thursday on Tuscan Avenue. A walk-in reported an assault and battery and kidnapping. Report taken.

Bylaw Violation

A report of a bylaw violation at 11:58 a.m. Thursday at Melros Storage Facility on Broadway. Caller reported he was the owner of the facility and had someone come on his property and illegally dump their trash. Notification made.

Disturbance

A report of a disturbance at 3:33 p.m. Thursday at Veterans Early Learning Center on Hurd Avenue. Caller reported a group of 10 or more youths, some on e-bikes, causing a disturbance, and one of the kids made some inappropriate comments. Peace restored; a report at 5:15 p.m. at Lowe’s on Broadway. An employee called and reported a male had entered the men’s bathroom and brought in an aerosol product. Arrest of a 17-and-over male; a report at 7:34 p.m. at the Chisholms Motel on Broadway. Caller reported one of the staff members tried to make an entrance into his room. Peace restored.   

Hazardous Road Conditions

A report of hazardous road conditions at 11:12 a.m. Thursday at Bernie & Phil’s Furniture on Broadway. Caller reported that there was a chair in the right lane of travel just after the store. No police service necessary. 

Motor Vehicle

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 8:57 a.m. Thursday at Harbor Freight Tools on Broadway. Caller reported he had been involved in a two-car accident with no injuries and no airbag deployment. Vehicle towed; a report at 10:32 a.m. on Walnut Street. A sergeant reported that he and an officer were involved in a rear-end collision while operating cruiser 5 on Walnut Street. There was minor damage to the rear of the cruiser and damage to the front of the car that hit them. Report taken; a report at 2:18 p.m. on Walnut Street. Caller reported an accident that involved a bicycle. Report taken.  

A report of a motor vehicle stop at 10:12 a.m. Thursday on Main Street. Verbal warning; a report at 12:18 p.m. at the Square One Mall on Broadway. Citation issued; a report at 12:35 p.m. on Main Street. Citation issued.  

A report of a suspicious motor vehicle at 1:09 p.m. Thursday on Bristow Street and Barressi Lane. Caller reported an erratic driver that they believed was impaired. Area search negative. 

Officer Injury

A report of an officer injury at 11:09 a.m. Thursday on Walnut Street. A sergeant and an officer were injured after the cruiser they were in was rear-ended. Both reported minor injuries. Departmental action.

Wires Down

A report of wires down at 12:37 p.m. Thursday on Richardson Circle. Caller reported wires down in the roadway. Services rendered.
