LYNN

Arrests 

Manuel Escobar De Leon, 20, of Gooseneck Lane (Swampscott), was arrested at 2:23 p.m. on Thursday for operating a motor vehicle without a license, no inspection sticker, and not having their license in possession. 

Byron Garcia Solares, 23, of Lawton Avenue, was arrested at 8:16 p.m. Thursday was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without a license, non-transparent window obstruction, and equipment violation. 

Alarms

Reports of burglar alarms at 3:28 p.m. Thursday on Essex Street, 5:11 a.m. at the Greater Lynn Senior Services on Silsbee Street, and 4:19 p.m. on Western Avenue. 

Disturbances

Reports of disturbances at 6:08 a.m. Thursday on Broad Street, 7:57 a.m. on Birch Street, and 4:08 p.m. on Franklin Street and Western Avenue. 

Trespassing 

Reports of trespassing at 7:56 a.m. Thursday on Willow Street and 11:55 a.m. on Friend Street. 

Motor Vehicles

Reports of motor vehicle accidents at 11:06 a.m. Thursday on Ocean Street, 3:00 p.m. at Walmart on the Lynnway, and 3:53 p.m. on Boston Street and Franklin Street. 

Reports of motor vehicle stops at 7:17 a.m. Thursday on Lynnfield Street, 7:23 a.m. on Lynnfield Street, 7:33 a.m. on Lynnfield Street, 7:44 a.m. on Daytona Road and Lynnfield Street, 10:04 a.m. at Green Tea on the Lynnway, 12:12 p.m. on Chestnut Street, 2:12 p.m. on Oxford Street, 2:39 p.m. on Eastern Avenue and Superior Street, 2:59 p.m. on Western Avenue, 3:11 p.m. on Chestnut Street and Western Avenue, 3:23 p.m. on Chestnut Street and Western Avenue, 3:27 p.m. on Chestnut Street and Western Avenue, 3:39 p.m. on Western Avenue, 3:52 p.m. on Western Avenue, 4:04 p.m. on Western Avenue, 4:24 p.m. on Tracy Avenue and Western Avenue, and 4:33 p.m. on Western Avenue, 5:06 p.m. on Lynnfield Street. 

SAUGUS

Alarms

A report of a burglar alarm at 8:18 a.m. Thursday at Marchetti Comm Petroleum Inc. on Ballard Street. Accidental/defective alarm; a report at 5:08 p.m. at Sonny’s Glass Tinting on Central Street. Accidental/defective alarm; a report at 10:32 p.m. at Dunkin’ on Lincoln Avenue. Building appears to be secure.  

Disturbance

A report of a disturbance at 9:13 p.m. Thursday on Fairmount Avenue. Caller reported she was sold a vehicle by a resident and stated that after leaving, something happened to the engine, and the person who sold her the car is refusing to give her the money back. Services rendered. 

Motor Vehicles

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 9:57 a.m. Thursday on Main Street at the overpass. Officer Mantano reported being out with a minor accident. Removed to hospital; a report at 10:24 p.m. at the UPS Warehouse on the Salem Turnpike. Report taken;  a report at 10:38 p.m. on Baker Street at Lincoln Avenue. Vehicle towed.    

A report of a motor vehicle leaving the scene of an accident at 1:47 p.m. Thursday on Newhall Avenue. Caller reported that kids on a scooter had witnessed a car accident of a vehicle striking a parked car. Services rendered; a report at 3:48 p.m. on Walnut Street. Report taken. 

A report of a motor vehicle stop at 10:53 a.m. Thursday on Vine Street. Verbal warning. 

Noise Complaint

A report of a noise complaint at 11:33 p.m. Thursday at Evans Park on Central Street. Peace restored. 

Officer Injury

A report of an officer injury at 9:43 a.m. Thursday at the Public Safety Building on Hamilton Street. A lieutenant reported that he injured his right leg while on duty.  

Property Damage

A report of property damage at 10:53 a.m. Thursday on Saugus Avenue. Caller reported that Stefano’s Landscaping had dug up his entire lawn. When he had spoken with an employee, they had stated that they were there to complete a job at that address. Report taken. 

SWAMPSCOTT

Alarm 

A report of a burglary alarm at 1:32 p.m. Thursday on Puritan Road. False alarm; a report of an alarm at 4:04 p.m. on Essex Street. False alarm. 

Area Checks

A report of an area check at 1:28 a.m. Thursday at the depot on Railroad Avenue. Serviced; a report at 2:12 a.m. at the mall on Paradise Road. Serviced; a report at 1:42 p.m. at the Congregation Shirat Hayam of the North Shore on Atlantic Avenue. Serviced; a report at 2:45 p.m. at the middle school on Forest Avenue. Serviced; a report at 4:16 a.m. at Chabad of the North Shore on Burrill Street. Serviced; a report at 10:04 p.m. at the high school on Essex Street. Serviced. 

Con/Scam

A report of a scam at 7:19 p.m. Thursday on Burpee Road. The reporting party said that they spent $500 on a gift card to have their cell phone activated. Report due. 

Errant Operator

A report of an errant operator at 1.44 p.m. Thursday on Forest Avenue. A caller reported an e-bike speeding in the area. Gone on arrival. 

Fires

A report of a fire at 3:20 p.m. Thursday on Puritan Road. A caller reported that a neighbor had a fire in their yard. The fire department was notified and the fire was able to extinguish. Serviced. 

Hazardous Conditions 

A report of hazardous conditions at 8:32 a.m. Thursday on Norfolk Avenue. A caller reported a wire down on the sidewalk. Verizon notified. Serviced; a report at 7:19 p.m. on Paradise Road. The reporting party said there was metal in the road. Unfounded. 

Larcenies

A report of a larceny at 5:28 p.m. at the post office on Elmwood Road. A walk-in party reported check washing. Report due. 

Motor Vehicles 

A report of a motor vehicle stop at 9:49 a.m. Thursday on Franklin Avenue and Stetson Avenue. Citation due. 

Recorded Property 

A report of recorded property at 7:03 a.m. on Humphrey Street. Report due. 

Shoplifting

A report of shoplifting at 8:10 p.m. Thursday at Marshalls on Paradise Road. Loss prevention filed a report from a past shoplifting. Report due. 

Traffic Enforcement Post 

A report of a traffic enforcement post at 9:41 a.m. Thursday on Stetson Avenue. Serviced; a report at 9:55 a.m. on Stetson Avenue. No dispatch needed. 

Trespassing 

A report of trespassing at 7:20 p.m. Thursday on Railroad Avenue. The reporting party stated that the parishioners of a nearby church continue to walk through their backyard. Advised caller.
