A report of assault and battery at 5:10 a.m. Sunday on Washington Street.

Phone Calls

Reports of phone calls at 12:18 p.m. Sunday coming from Wilson Road where they called in suspicious activity. The resident reported an older man who was walking around with a flashlight; a report at 1:47 a.m. coming from Nahant Road where they called in a complaint. The resident reported someone pulling into their driveway, ran up to her door, and banged on it loudly.

Walk-In

A report of a walk in at 2:01 p.m. from Valley Road where the resident reported that she is attempting to return a security deposit from former tenants via certified mail that they are refusing. The resident is worried that the tenants are trying to get her in trouble by not getting their deposit back in 30 days.

 

PEABODY

Arrest

John Kimani Gitau, 43, of Summit Street, was arrested at 9:41 p.m. Sunday for charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and four counts of assault and battery on a police officer.

Disturbances

Reports of disturbances at 4:45 p.m. Sunday on Northend Street and 7:24 p.m. at Auto Xpress on Foster Street.

Fire

A report of a fire at 12:17 p.m. Sunday at Northeast Nursery on Newbury Street. No action required.

Harassment

Reports of harassment at 7:29 a.m. Sunday on Bowditch Street and 1:55 p.m. at The Police Department on Allens Lane.

Larceny

A report of larceny at 3:03 p.m. Sunday at The Police Department on Allens Lane.

Missing Person

A report of a missing person at 7:57 a.m. Sunday on Jefferson Road.

Animals 

A report of animals at 5:07 p.m. Sunday on Stetson Avenue. A caller reported that his neighbors had been laying out rodent poison and their dog had gotten into it. An officer reported that a resolution had been made between the neighbors. Report due; a report at 6:50 p.m. A resident called requesting assistance with a kitten that was stuck on their roof.
