The North Shore Public Health Collaborative, with funding from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, is pleased to offer a series of free Food Safety Basic Training sessions for local food handlers across the North Shore.
These one-hour trainings are part of a regional effort to improve food safety knowledge and practices among food service workers, particularly those who may not have access to formal certification programs. Sessions will be offered in English, Spanish, and Portuguese to better serve the diverse workforce across the North Shore.
Participants must be residents of or employed in the communities of Beverly, Danvers, Lynn, Marblehead, Nahant, Peabody, Salem, and Swampscott.
The training will be led by Victoria Hart, an experienced bilingual Food Protection Consultant, and will cover essential practices to help reduce the risk of foodborne illness in food service settings.
Please note: This is not a certification course. The same material will be presented at each session, so participants only need to attend one.
