PEABODY — State Rep. Thomas P. Walsh (D-Peabody) announced that the Higgins Middle School’s Student Resource and Support Center will receive $50,000 in additional funding in honor of Jason Bernard.
“It is important to honor Jason in a meaningful way. By providing additional funding for the resource center, I am hopeful that we can augment the educational programs that offer training and understanding for bullying prevention,” Walsh said. “I’m thankful to Sen. Lovely and Rep. Kerans for their partnership in securing this important funding.”
The Fair Share supplemental budget, House Bill 5470 “An Act making appropriations for the fiscal year 2026 to provide for supplementing certain existing appropriations and for certain other activities and projects” is on the desk of Gov. Maura Healey for her consideration.
