LYNN — The City of Lynn is combating litter-filled streets and parks with their Glow Up Week event that includes a community-led cleanup this Friday.
All necessary supplies will be handed out to participants by city officials at the Lynn Common from 10 a.m. to noon.
Mayor Jared C. Nicholson has shared the level of importance it is for the community to get involved in its own beautification.
“A more beautiful Lynn starts with all of us,” Nicholson said. “The City Glow Up campaign is about transforming our neighborhoods hand-in-hand. No matter how much time you have to give, every single piece of trash picked up helps build a cleaner, prouder community.”
The week started on June 21 and goes until this Sunday, June 27. Throughout the week community members are encouraged to email [email protected] photos of the cleanup so the Mayor’s office can share the hard work and collaboration on the commonwealth’s social media channels.
