WIN Waste Innovations and Selectman Anthony Cogliano led a cleanup in Saugus on June 20, collecting more than a ton of trash, metal, and tires.
The cleanup started at 192 Central St. and covered parts of Central, Elm and Saville streets, as well as the rail trail. Approximately 30 residents and WIN Waste employees participated, including Cogliano and Selectman Frank Federico. WIN Waste provided gloves, pickers, trash bags, and snacks.
“Each year, our plant team goes beyond their day-to-day operational excellence and cleans or improves an area of the plant,” said WIN Waste Plant Manager Elliott Casey. “This year, we decided to focus those efforts on helping to beautify a neighborhood in the Town. We were pleased to partner with Selectman Cogliano and the community groups who have volunteered their time to help.”
