MARBLEHEAD — A 53-year-old Marblehead man who had been missing since Friday evening has been found safe, according to the Marblehead Police Department.
Police confirmed that Bartos “Bart” Modrzynski, who had been missing since Friday, July 17, was located safely on Monday morning.
Modrzynski was last seen at approximately 6:30 p.m. Friday when he left his residence on a bicycle. He was reportedly headed to the gym. Police had previously classified him as missing and endangered and asked the public for assistance in locating him.
Marblehead Police thanked mutual aid partners and members of the public who shared information and assisted in the search.
“We want to thank all of the people who shared our alert and made efforts to locate him,” Police Chief Dennis King said. “As a result of the assistance from mutual aid partners and the public, we were able to locate him safely.”
Police confirmed that Modrzynski had been missing since Friday but said no additional information will be released.
“In the interest of his privacy, as well as his family’s, the department is not releasing any additional information surrounding the circumstances of this incident,” the department said.
