LYNN– Today, Lynn Ward 2 City Councilor Obed Matul announced his endorsement of Dan Koh in the Massachusetts 6th Congressional District primary.
“I am honored to be endorsing Dan Koh for Congress. Not only does Dan have the experience to be an effective legislator, he is incredibly compassionate and cares about showing up for his constituents. As Trump continues to attack our immigrant neighbors, we need a Representative who will be ready to fight back on Day One. Dan also has the willingness to secure funding that will enable our communities to thrive. From advocating for housing tax credits to getting funding to revitalize downtown areas, Dan will make the Sixth District a place where small businesses can thrive and families can afford day-to-day essentials. Dan has the expertise and willpower to get things done, and I am excited to work alongside him to make the Sixth District a better place for generations to come,” said Matul.
Koh expressed his gratitude for Councilor Matul’s endorsement, applauding the Councilor’s people-first approach to serving Lynn.
“I am so grateful to have the endorsement of Councilor Matul,” Koh said. “He cares deeply about his community and prioritizes his constituents above all else. Whether it’s making sure the streets in Ward 2 are paved or spreading awareness about protecting green spaces in the city, Councilor Matul always shows up for Lynn. I am deeply honored to have his support as we work together during this campaign and beyond.”
Koh’s campaign has gained critical momentum thanks to over 75 endorsements from local and national elected officials and community leaders, union locals, President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Secretary Pete Buttigieg, while raising $3.5M+ since launch, a record for an MA House candidate.
