MARBLEHEAD — The Marblehead Pickleball Organization has continued its commitment to growing the sport and supporting local youth by donating new paddles to the Village School and replenishing equipment at the Veterans Middle School in town.
Brand new paddles were donated to the Village School in May, providing students with the opportunity to learn and enjoy one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. In addition, the organization replaced and replenished 24 worn paddles at the Veterans School, ensuring students have safe, quality equipment available for physical education classes and recreational play.
“Getting paddles into the hands of our kids is one of the best ways to grow the sport,” said Kate Dinsmore, a board member of the Marblehead Pickleball Organization. “We want to make sure students have access to the equipment they need to learn, play, and enjoy the game”
The donations are part of the organization’s ongoing effort to introduce pickleball to younger generations, while promoting healthy activity, teamwork, and community involvement. By partnering with local schools, the organization hopes to create more opportunities for students to discover the game and develop a lifelong love of sports and recreation.
“We hope these paddles inspire kids to stay active, be device-free, have fun, play, and enjoy pickleball for a lifetime,” said Lisa Spinale, of the Marblehead Pickleball Organization.
