In a 4-4 game in the bottom of the seventh inning, Saugus’ Eli Fialho (1-for-4, 1 RBI) stepped up to the batter’s box and delivered a walk-off single to score Brayden Crawford from third base for a 5-4 win.
Marblehead jumped out to an early lead in the first inning when Greyson Leventhal (2-for-4, 2 RBI) doubled to score a run. Saugus immediately responded in the bottom of the inning when an error gave it a 2-1 advantage.
The Magicians tied the game in the third inning thanks to a Tim Wales double to left field. The game didn’t stay tied for long as Saugus reclaimed a 3-2 lead after three innings.
Crawford (6 2/3 IP, 9 K, 7 H, 2 BB) earned the win for Saugus on the mound. Marblehead’s Madden Lyons (3 IP, 1 H, 5 K, 3 BB) started for the Magicians.

Lynn Tech 1
Lynn Tech (4-2) struggled offensively against the Vikings (4-2) in Winthrop. Winthrop’s Braedon Lounsbury threw a complete-game one-hitter to earn the win. Lounsbury needed 81 pitches over seven innings.
Winthrop’s next game is Wednesday when it hosts Gloucester. Lynn Tech will look to bounce back Monday when it welcomes East Boston to Fraser Field at 11 a.m.
BOYS LACROSSE
St. John’s Prep 15
La Salle Academy 3
The Eagles were too much for La Salle Academy on Saturday afternoon. A big reason for the dominant win was at the X, where Will Crawford went a perfect 15-for-15 on faceoffs to lead St. John’s Prep.
“He was so hot it would have taken a full pail of water just to cool him down,” head coach John Pynchon said.
Beckett Lee (4 goals, 1 assist), Ryan McCarthy (3 goals) and Josh Barton (2 goals) led the way for the Eagles. St. John’s Prep got 15 goals from nine different players.

KIPP Academy 1
The Tigers (3-5) defeated KIPP Academy in four sets (25-19, 25-15, 16-25, 25-20).
It was a team effort for Lynn Tech as Jayden Chiep led the way with 21 assists and seven digs, while Anthony Reid had 10 kills, four digs and three aces.
Sam Caraballo (14 digs, 3 aces, 2 kills), Dalvin Ruiz (11 digs, 2 assists, 2 aces), Felipe Oliveira (5 kills, 5 aces) and Kevin Robles (6 digs) all contributed to the win.
